Important Notice

Track Rascals, Junior Development, Midget and Youth track and field programs were cancelled for 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  The 2021 season is still up in the air, to be discussed at the annual general meeting on February 16.

Fees

Fees for the Peninsula Track Club consist of two parts, Club Fees and Fees for BC Athletics, the provincial governing body of Athletics.
  1. Club Fees help cover the cost of club equipment, club rental of facilities, etc. Since Peninsula Track is a volunteer organization, parents and older athletes are required to help out at the club's activities. This consists of officiating (mainly at the long jump) at the Island series meets and helping to organize and run other activities that may arise during the year.
  2. BC Athletics Fees give membership in BC Athletics which includes extensive insurance for all members while participating in all club and meet activities. In addition, BC Athletics is responsible for the organization of athletics at the provincial level and through Athletics Canada is involved with the sport at the national level, providing opportunities for our athletes to compete provincially, nationally and internationally.

Current membership fees are indicated on the registration form.

Please note that the membership fee does not include entry fees for track meets.  Athletes must pay a registration fee for each track meet that they attend.  Last year this fee for Island Series meets was $22 per meet for unlimited events on both days ($15 for unlimited events on one day), with the exception of the Bob Dailey meet in Port Alberny, which was $30 for two days or $20 for one day, and the Dogwood meet in Victoria, which was $11 per event.

Competitive athletes will also need to buy or put a deposit on a Pen Track club singlet.

Payment Options

Fees may be paid by cash, cheque or e-transfer.
  • Please make cheques payable to: Peninsula Track.
  • Contact us if you would like more information about paying fees through an e-transfer.

Come to our in-person registration night at the track on Thursday March 31st.  Meet some members of the club, ask some questions and see the track. We will have copies of the registration form that you can fill out, or print one off and come with it already filled out to save time.  If you bring one, make sure it is signed by both the athlete and parent/Guardian.
