Those athletes who were not chosen I have left in the Substitute pool as there is a small chance that an athlete may be chosen if an athlete has to drop out due to injury or emergency
2) Just to make sure everyone understands, ALL athletes in athletics competing at the Summer Games MUST be present with the team for the whole period July 19 to 22. This means sleeping on a mat on the floor along with the other members of the same gender on the team even if you normally live only a block from the stadium. This is to ensure that all athletes are competing under the same conditions. Failure to follow this regulation will result in ejection from the games and return of any medals won.
3) Travel to and from the Games.
Because of the small number of athletes requesting travel by bus, I have been asked by the Provincial Advisor that ALL athletes make their own way to the Games by private travel (family, car pooling, etc.)
4) The head coach, Tyler Heisterman has requested that ALL athletes try to check in at the accreditation center at the Games around 8:00 am on Thursday, July 19.
5) ALL athletes MUST register and PAY (if club is not paying) on-line with BC Athletics at:
http://www.bcathletics.org/Content/bc-summer-games/47/
Go to the Athlete Registration link in the lower left hand corner of the BC Athletics site. DO THIS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AND NO LATER THAN JUNE 30!!
6) The BC Summer Games organization will send out information packages by mail on June 23, 2018 so you should get yours a few days later. However you can get preliminary information about what to bring and the accommodation, etc by going the Games site:
https://www.bcgames.org/Participate/ParticipantInformation/RegistrationTransportation.aspx
It is particularly important that you fill out the medical form if you have any allergies or diet problems.
