a Racewalking, Distance
Running and Steeplechase Clinic!
Where: Nanaimo Track
When: Saturday November 6th, 2004
Time: 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
We are fortunate to be able to present a race walking clinic with Canadian National
level and Olympic participant, Arturo Huerta. Arturo participated in the
race walk competition in the 2000 Olympics and now resides in Victoria.
He and fellow race walker Helen Jacques will be providing coaching expertise
for race walk athletes. Comox Valley Cougar distance and race walking
coach, Kate Brooker, will also share in the coaching of race
walkers.
Comox Valley Cougar coach Tony Dickson will be coaching athletes in distance
running and steeplechase. Focus will be on running technique and training
methods.
Fruit snacks will be provided for this clinic. Athletes are encouraged to
bering their own water bottles and appropriate attire for rain or shine weather
(also, bring training spikes if you have them).
The fee for this clinic is $10 (payable at the start of the clinic). Participants
MUST pre-register no later than Thursday Nov. 4th. Please contact
