By now you have been told now, that you have been selected for the Zone 6 team so that you can prepare for the Summer Games. However, information about your selection is NOT to be given to the media as the teams are not official until the team lists have been submitted to the Summer Games directorate and released by them. This occurs around the end of June. Soon after that, you will receive an official package containing information and some forms for you to fill out.

This camp is being hosted by the Comox Valley Cougars Track and Field Club on July 5 and 6 in Courtenay. Your name, EMail and phone number have been given to the organizers and they should be contacting you soon to give you details. The cost is supposed to be around $100.00 which will cover food and accomodation.
The camp is designed to bring team members together to meet one another, to meet the coaches/chaperones, to find out what is expected of you at the games in terms of behaviour, etc. and to give you some advice about training for the games. The format will be similar to the camp held in 2004 (click here). Most athletes who attended the camp in 2004 (43 of a team of 48) felt that it was very worthwhile and a lot of fun so you should seriously consider attending.
