Hi all!
Congratulations on
making the Zone 6 B.C. Summer Games Team!
As part of the lead up to the Games, Zone 6 is offering a Summer Games Camp for Island Athletes. This will be the third year this camp has been organized. Past years have been highly successful. This is an opportunity to fine tune your skills, meet your fellow athletes and be introduced to your Games team coaches and chaperones.

Supplement from Christine Morfitt added Friday evening, June 23.
Hi all,
Thanks for so many of your quick responses! A few questions have popped up...
a. Please bring the $100 to the track on the first day of the camp.
Please have a cheque made out to Comox Valley Cougars or cash is fine too.
b. We will be meeting at the Courtenay track on the first day - bags and all. The curling rink is just across the road (on Headquarters).
We will be walking to and from each day. I will confirm if athletes will be sleeping on the floor or if there are cots. I am assuming that either way you will need to bring:
- sleeping bag, pillow
- hat, sunscreen, sunglasses
- swim suit and towel (we are in the processes of getting the pool for the two days)
I will confirm if there are other necessities and send out another email if so.
c. Please contact me if you have concerns about medical issues. We will need to know if your athlete is taking any medication and has any allergies or conditions that the coaches need to know about to ensure a successful camp and Games experience.
d. I have a list of t-shirt sizes from Tom Dingle. When you signed up to be considered for the Games, you filled out a detailed registration form with t-shirt sizes. If I don't hear from you, your camp t-shirt will be the size that is indicated on the form.
I am sure I have forgotten things...will probably email you all again.
Thanks for your patience while we get our ducks in order here!
See you all on July 5.
