Allows you to break down results by Zone, city, etc. There are some errors in how the pentathlon is reported

Zone 6 Summer Games Track and Field Development Camp

July 6 and 7, Courtenay

Please Note:

1) To make it easier for athletes to arrive in time on Tuesday all events on Tuesday have been moved back 1 hour, i.e. Camp starts at 10:00 am (not 9:00 am as stated previously)

2) The billeting arrangements are for ONE NIGHT only, i.e. Tuesday night. If you plan on arriving on Monday, you must make your own arrangements for Monday night.

3) Please pack a bathing suit when you come as there may be the opportunity for some water activities.

The Zone 6 Team has now been chosen (.pdf file).

The athletes selected have been contacted.

If you have been told that you have been selected please

ALTERNATES

Athletes placing third or fourth in an event, if not already chosen to the team, have been placed on an alternates list

Alternate MAY be added to the team at a later date if a team member has to withdraw from the team for medical or other reasons.

If you were third or fourth and are not on the team, you should read the instructions given to members chosen for the team so that you are ready to fulfil them at short notice if you are moved from the alternates list to the team list as a substitute.

The Zone 6 Representative for Athletics is Tom Dingle at:

tdingle@uvic.ca or (250) 656-3341 or FAX (250) 655 - 5206

or 8893 Marshall Road, Sidney, BC, V8L 1J4

A CAMP FOR ATHLETES SELECTED TO THE TEAM

will be held in Courtenay on July 6th and 7th.

If you are chosen, then you should go.

A similar camp, held before the 2002 Summer Games

was considered a tremendous success

by all those who were involved

and did a lot for the fine showing of the Zone 6 team at the 2002 Games.
