By now you have been told now, that you have been selected for the Zone 6 team so that you can prepare for the Summer Games. However, information about your selection is not to be given to the media as the teams are not official until the team lists have been submitted to the Summer Games directorate and released by them. This occurs around the middle of June. Soon after that, you will receive an official package containing information and some forms for you to fill out.
Before then there are certain things you must do to remain on the team :
A. You must make sure that the Zone 6 representative has:
1) Your birth certificate number (if Canadian birth certificate) or a photocopy of a document showing your birth date (foreign birth certificate, passport page, etc.). Athletes registered as a BC Athletics competitive member (not SG member) do not need to supply a copy of their birth certificate.
2) Your home address and phone number and EMail (if you have one) and your date of birth.
3) Your choice of size for the Summer Games T-Shirt (small, medium, large, extra large, extra extra large) which you will wear while competing at the Summer Games.
If you filled out your Summer Games registration form properly and turned it in at the Zone 6 Trials then you have already done the above.

You must pay the team fees listed below:
Fees for all team members: $50.00 BC Athletics team fee plus $15.00 for Summer Games Team T-Shirt.
All team members must be members of BC Athletics.
If you have been competing as a school athlete and are not a competive member of BC Athletics, you MUST take out a BC Athletics Summer Games membership for a cost of $10.00. This is because school memberships in BC Athletics expire at the end of June. The Summer Games membership will cover you while training for and competing in the BC Summer Games. Please send one of the following to the zone 6 athletics representative, Tom Dingle, as soon as possible.
YOUR PLACE ON THE TEAM IS NOT COMPLETE UNTIL ALL THE ABOVE HAS BEEN DONE.
If your club is covering your Summer Games fees then make sure that they have sent the appropriate amount. The zone representative needs this information and the cheques so that he can compete and submit the team lists.
