Peninsula Track feels that athletes on Vancouver Island have little opportunity to participate in a Pentathlon competition. Therefore, we are hosting a pentathlon meet at Sidney
to give them a chance to experience a pentathlon before the championships. Results in individual events from this meet will count towards the Vancouver Island Series awards and the meet also counts as one the four necessary to be eligible for Island Series awards as long as one of the other meets is the Nanaimo or Alberni Meet.

For those unfamiliar with the
area, you get to Parkland school by driving north from Victoria on highway 17
(signs to Swartz Bay Ferry terminal), go past the town of Sidney (Beacon
Avenue) and turn right at the second turnoff onto MacDonald Park Road.
Proceed south less than 1 km and Parklands school is on the right side (west
side) of the road.

No pre-registration needed, but Clubs should complete and present attached form. Cheques should be made payable to Peninsula Track and Field Club. No
day of entry membership except for school athletes
whose school (or school district) is not a member of BC athletics. All other athletes must be
competitive members of BC Athletics (club, school or independent) STICKERS ARE MANDATORY. There is no pre-registration. Please have FIVE stickers (one for each event) for each athlete with athletes’ name, club, year of birth, gender and the word pentathlon + event. Thanks! |

Unlimited entry. Single day fee: $10.00; School athletes of non-member schools add $3.00. |

Pentathlon Ribbons, 1st through 8th place |

CATEGORIES |
J.D.s: 1997,1996,1995, 1994, 1993,1992, 1991; |
|
|
Field: 3 attempts only except for HJ. In high jump bar is raised 3 cm for each round and Jumpers are eliminated when they fail THREE CONSECUTIVE JUMPS. |

OFFICIALS |
This is an extra meet in the Vancouver Island Series to give athletes
a chance to do a pentathlon competition. Since the total numbers are expected to be smaller than
usual, attending adults may be asked to help officiate. |
