THROWS MEET

SUNDAY, May 30, 2004

Sanctioned by BC Athletics

This copy dated March 4, 2004.  Full details and updates at:  www.pentrack.org

Peninsula Track feels that athletes who concentrate on the throwing events may be short changed in the Island series this year since there is limited Hammer at the Dogwood .  Therefore,  we are hosting a throws only  meet  at Sidney so that throws athletes could get more opportunity to do their thing.  Results from this meet will count towards the Vancouver Island Series awards but the meet  itself  is not counted towards the four necessary to be eligible for Island Series awards.

LOCATION

Parkland School, MacDonald Park Rd., Sidney B.C.

For those unfamiliar with the area, you get to Parkland school by driving north from Victoria on highway 17 (signs to Swartz Bay Ferry terminal), go past the town of Sidney (Beacon Avenue) and turn right at the second turnoff onto MacDonald Park Road. Proceed south less than 1 km and Parklands school is on the right side (west side) of the road.
