I have had a couple of queries about what points tables were used for the pentathlon competitions:
1) For the regular pentathlon we used the points table used at the BC JD Pentathlon Championships. These were developed by Brian Foan around 2000 and have been used by BC Athletics since then. We use an Excel program which automatically calculates the points based on event, performancee, year of birth and gender. These points are then fed into the Hy-Tek program.
2) For the weight pentathlon I got information on combined events from the IAAF website and using age graded tables (in 5 year blocks for masters) developed an Excel program that does the calculation of the points based on event, performancee, year of birth and gender. I checked the program against some of the posted results from the Canadian Masters Championships in 2007 for the various events and got the same results as they did.
