Information
for Zone 6 Summer Games Trials
General Information:
·
Midgets
born in 1993 and 1994 will compete together for the trials but will be scored
separately for awards.
·
All
midget athletes must preregister for the Zone 6 trials as events are seeded to
permit the best performances by all athletes.
·
A
personal registration form must be submitted by all athletes along with a
personal payment form [forms are part of this package].
·
Please
indicate if your club will pay BC Summer Games fees if a cheque
or credit card information is not attached to your form.
·
All
forms must be turned in to the results room the beginning of the Zone Trials.
·
Athletes
who do not submit forms will not be
selected to the team. We do not have time to collect information and payments
once the meet is over as the registration deadline for the Games is June 13th.
Registration
·
Please

Include
each event you wish to enter and your seasonal or personal best for that event.
·
Make
sure to include your full name, year of birth, club or school in your email.
·
Forms
and payments must be submitted when you pick up your registration package at
the meet.
·
Meet
costs for midgets are $3.00 per event or $8.00 for the pentathlon.
·
Late
entries will be accepted but fees will be doubled.
Pentathlon
·
We
will not be running separate pentathlon categories at this meet. Please register for the 5 individual events
and you will be scored as the events are completed.
·
The
$8.00 pentathlon fee includes entries in all 5 events.
Team Selection
·
A
selection meeting will be held in the registration building immediately
following the meet. At that time the
team will be chose but there will still be additional Wild Card positions and
athletes added to the team during the following week. Any parent or coach is
welcome to attend this meeting to see how the selections are made.
·
All
forms and fee payments will be kept by Tom Dingle, Zone 6 Rep, until the start
of the Summer Games in
·
Athletes
who have been selected to the team and are forced to withdraw will have the
Summer Games fees refunded.

The shirts are short sleeved, 100% cotton in each zone colour. You must compete in the zone shirt at all times and may not alter the shirt in any way. The ATHLETICS 2008 Games logo will appear on the front.
