Due to the snowstorm early Saturday morning we
were forced to cancel all events scheduled for Saturday, April 19 as the
condition of the track and weather conditions made it too dangerous to hold any
events. Fortunately Sunday turned out sunny with only a slight wind so we had a
great day of events.
The club is scheduling the cancelled events
from Saturday on Saturday, May 24, the day before we host the VIAA Pentathlon
Meet.
We apologize to all those clubs and athletes who were inconvenienced by
the cancellation of Saturday's events.
Scheduled for the same day at Centennial Stadium on the UVic campus is a
higher level meet hosted by Pacific Athletics. This meet has events for athletes born in
1993 or earlier. We encourage any athletes in this age range who want more
serious competition to attend the Pacific Athletics
meet for those events they have scheduled.
