Age Classes
Single age and gender groups determined by year of birth. Athletes must
compete in their age and gender class, 1995, 1994, 1993, 1992, 1991, 1990,
1989.
Awards
Medals: 1st – 3rd place. Ribbons: 4th – 8th place.

Deadline
Entries must be received by Friday,
June 18. All entries must have the BC Athletics number included with the entry form. All
Athletes entering must have a 2004 Junior Development membership in place
prior to the meet. Late entries will be accepted at the competition but must
be accompanied by the athlete’s BC Athletics membership number.
Entry Eligibility
All athletes must be 2004 BC Athletics Junior Development members.
Entry Fees
$12.00 per individual, payable to Nanaimo Track & Field Club. Late entry
fee after June 18th – $15 per individual.
Facilities
8 lane polyurethane surface. Washrooms at the track. Concession will be
available.
Equipment
All equipment will be provided. Athletes wishing to use their personal
equipment must have its use authorized at least 45 minutes prior to the
event.
Deportment
Coaches are requested to advise all athletes & their families to be alert
and aware of competitions in progress. The infield is out of bounds.
Encouragement of athletes by coaches, parents and friends is permitted
providing it does not interfere with the fairness and progress of the
competitions.
Protests
Protests shall be in writing and received within 30 minutes of the posting of
the results of the event. Coaches should attempt to resolve the protest with
the chief official of the event before presenting it to the next level of
protest.
Field Events
Long jump – 3 jumps. High jump – 3 cm increases. Shot put – 3 throws.

VIAA clubs duties have been assigned as follows:

Jump - Pit 1 - Alberni
High Jump - Pit 2 - Comox
High Jump - Pit 3 - Alberni and Comox (Comox will bring the third pit)
Shot Put - Circle 1 - CeeVacs
Shot Put - Circle 2 - Powell River
Long Jump - Pit 1 - Campbell River & Campbell River Christian School
Long Jump - Pit 2 - Peninsula and Oceanside
Finish Line - Nanaimo
Timing - electronic - Dave Weicker
Timing - hand - Victoria & Peninsula
Starters - Nanaimo
Results - Nanaimo

which events your club will be able to help officiate. Clubs who do not
indicate a preference will be assigned to a job, as all the clubs who
participate are required to help. Your help is very important in making this
a successful Championship.

stadium is approximately 15 minutes from the Departure Bay ferry terminal and
approximately 30 minutes from the Duke Point ferry terminal.
