Sunday, June
11th: 9:00 a.m. – 4:30
p.m. (approximately)
All times listed for events are approximate. Track and field events may start up to ˝ hour
before scheduled times – please listen for announcements.
Entry Fees: $10.00 for one day and $15.00 for both days per athlete. For those who are not BC Athletics members, a
$3 fee per day will be charged.
ALL ATHLETES WISHING TO TRY OUT FOR SUMMER GAMES TEAM SELECTION
MUST REGISTER SEPARATELY AND PAY FOR EACH EVENT AS PER THE ATTACHED
REGISTRATION FORMS. Note: Midgets wanting to try out for the Summer
Games Zone 6 Team must have registration forms in to AVTC by 6pm, Saturday,
June 3, 2006.

the registration forms)
Registration: Stickers are mandatory.
Please have
a sticker for each event for each athlete with athlete’s name, year of birth
and club name. No pre-registration is needed.
Cheques should be made payable to A.V.T.C. Thanks!
All
athletes must be competitive members of BC Athletics (club, school or
unattached).

Coaches Meetings: Saturday, June 10th – 10:15 a.m. (north end of track by the
flagpole)
Sunday, June 11th – 8:45 a.m.
Officials: Officials are needed from each club to help run the meet.
Age Categories: All athletes will compete by year of birth. Some categories are combined for competition
purposes, but awards will be made by age classification.
Awards: Ribbons are awarded for 1st – 8th
place in all age groups.
All ribbons can be picked up at the
registration desk at Glenwood Centre.
Events: Track: All heats will be timed finals except Midgets, where there
will be heats and finals for 100m, 200m, and sprint hurdles. Track events will
be run from the oldest to the youngest with girls first.
Field: 3 attempts only. In midget and
open classes, the top 8 competitors will get an additional 3 attempts.
Neither
track nor field events take precedence over the other. While at a field event, parents or a coach
may stand in at the marshaling area for an athlete who is at a field
event. This person can then notify the
athlete as time nears for the track event.
Athletes may ask to go first in a round if they are going to compete
last in the next round. If an athlete
returns to an event and it has been closed they will not be allowed to compete
any further.
Concession: The A.V.T.C. will be operating a concession.
First Aid will be provided on site.
R.V. Parking will be available (in
parking lot by trees). No hookups.
