CONCEPT:                

Start off the season with two All-Comers Challenges [sanctioned under BC Athletics] to introduce returning members to register and new athletes to learn about the two Clubs.

 

Two mini-meets will be held at the Oak Bay Track facility due to the availability of the Parkland track.

 

Open to any athletes of any age as the meets are sanctioned as All Comer Meets.  This allows both clubs to involve all ages of athletes.

 

Minimum age is 6 years, maximum is masters.

 

All athletes can participate in any or all of the events.

 

No charge for athletes currently registered with either club.

 

Clubs can use these two Challenges as mini-registration events.

 

Charge for All Comers of $4.00 per person which includes BC Athletics Day of Event Membership.

 

Ribbons for participation.  Draw prizes.

 

Each athlete will receives a card at the beginning of the meet and will record his or her time or distance on the card.  Serves as an introduction to record keeping!

 

Officials will start the races, time each event and train volunteers at the field events.

100 metres

800 metres

long jump

Week 2:

200 metres
