PROJECT  TRACK  21

               10  HOUR   RELAY

               9:00 a.m. 7:00 p.m

     SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, 2009

 

This fund-raising event will be held at the Parkland High School Track, McDonald Park Road, Sidney, with all proceeds going to the creation of a 21st Century community recreation facility with an artificial turf soccer field, renovated 8 lane track, floodlights, permanent spectator stands, washrooms, concession space, etc.

   THIS COMMUNITY FUND-RAISING EVENT TO BE

  HELD ON THE PARKLAND HIGH SCHOOL TRACK,

                McDONALD PARK ROAD , SIDNEY .

      All proceeds raised will go towards the renovation of this

          site as a 21st Century community recreation facility.

Instructions for Team Leaders:

1.       Please recruit your team and have the team sheet sent to:

by Wednesday, September 23, 2009 .

2.       Please see that each member of your team is given a Pledge Sheet in advance of the event so they can get pledges to help raise funds for this project.

3.       For more information about Project Track 21, teams can go to www.pentrack.org

4.       We’ll be doing race set-up at the track from 8:00 on, but encourage your team to set up their own tents, etc., prior to the start of the relay.

5.       There will be a concession available for hamburgers, hot dogs, drinks, etc., but runners may want to bring their own energy-sustaining drinks/snacks, etc., together with water, sun screen and possible cool or wet weather gear.

6.       There will be a timing clock at track side, but you will need to provide your own lap scorer(s) to keep tabs on your team’s progress.

7.       There will be prizes for the most original team name, team costumes, most money raised, both team and individual, and various other categories.

8.       Post-race certificates will be sent to all teams and individuals.
