Masters

Masters athletes are those who are
  • over 35 (women)
  • over 40 (men)

Seniors are those over 55.

In addition to keeping fit and enjoying the sport of athletics, one of their major goals is to train to compete in the Canadian Masters Championships (St. John, NB, July 27 to 29, 2007), the BC Masters Championships (Langley, June 15 to 17, 2007) and in the BC Seniors Games (in Nanaimo, Sept. 12 to 15, 2007).

In addition many run in the various Road Races and Cross Country runs ending with the BC Open Cross Country Championships (Victoria, October 27, 2007) and the Canadian Cross Country Championships (TBA).

Peninsula Track welcomes both Masters and Seniors. Currently, Peninsula Track has 9 masters and seniors (including two in their seventies and one in his eighties) who train on Saturday morning during the spring and summer months.

Seniors and Masters interested in joining Peninsula Track should get in touch with Dan Daniels at 656-3669 or at danmeister99@shaw.ca
