Alberni Cross Country Race – hosted by the Alberni Valley Track and Field Club

RACE DAY: Sunday, September 25, 2005

LOCATION: Sproat Lake Provincial Park, west of Port Alberni on highway 4

REGISTRATION: 12:00   at the picnic area (signs posted)

RACES:            1:00  2 km loop for 96, 95, 94, 93 boys and girls

1:30  4 km loop for all men and women in 92, 91, 90 and all women 1989 and older. Senior and masters women may choose to do the 8km run.

                                8km ( 2 loops) ALL men 1989 and older

THE COURSE:    The course is undulating and is mostly on well-wooded trails. The footing, for the most part, is quite secure. The 4km loop has some moderately challenging hilly sections.

Course Walk will be occur at 11:30 for those interested.

WATER AND SNACKS: There will be a water station at the start/finish area. Snacks will be available.

FEES:  $5.00 FOR BC ATHLETICS MEMBERS

  $8 NON-MEMBERS
