For the period from February 2009 to July 2009 both the "Juvenile" and "Junior" groups will train on Tuesday and Thursday at 5:00 pm at the Parkland School Track. The "Juvenile" (younger) group is invited to join the "Junior" group on Fridays at 3"30 pm at Centennial Park for strength circuits.

Ravi Gunasinghe, the Pen Track middle and long distance track coach, asked me to post this notice for the information of athletes who wish to train in the middle and long distance race events and in cross country:

That any athletes who are 12 years old (and older) are welcome to contact me if they have an interest in middle and distance track and/or cross country. Being a great distance runner is not the most important quality an athlete should possess for this training group, however, a sincere interest in learning about distance running and being a focused athlete are.
Junior athletes are expected to train 2-3 days on their own as well depending on their age.

Practices or meeting times may change on short notice.

Interested runners must meet me with their parents to
discuss their motivation and my philosophy of training youth prior to joining
either group.
