Shauna:

  • 2nd in 800m and 3rd in 1500m at Vancouver Island High School Championships

 

Jacob:

  • Competed in the 60m 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 60m and 200m Hurdles.
  • Second in the Island Cross Country Series
  • 2nd in the Island Best of 4 competition
  • Silver medal in the 400m at the BCJD T&F Championships

Jumper of the Year

SANY ANDERSON

Sandy:

  • Broke Canadian Records in her age group in the High Jump and Pole Vault
  • First in the HJ at the BC Masters Championships
  • First in the HJ, TJ and Pole Vault at the Washington State Seniors Games

Thrower of the Year

ROSS HASKETT

NOLAN STUBBS

Ross:

  • Gold Medal in the Javelin at the BCJD T&F Championships with a throw that made him eligible for a JD award
  • 2nd in the Island RJT competition
  • Came 1st , 2nd or 3rd in the 7 meets at which he threw the Javelin which is remarkable considering his size

 

Nolan:

  • Threw the javelin 34.27m which places him 8th on the All Time Top Ten List
  • Came 1st , 2nd or 3rd in the Discus, Hammer,  Shot Put and Javelin Events at the seven meets in which he competed.

 

Peninsula Track Club Inspirational Award

PETER ROOT

DUSTIN SAPALA

Peter:

  • 7th in the Hammer at the Canadian Junior Championships
  • First in the Island Best of 4 competition
  • Competed in 14 meets
  • 3rd in the Hammer at the BC High School Championships
  • 2nd in the Hammer and 3rd in the Discus at the BC Junior Championships
  • 1st in the Discus and Hammer at the Vancouver Island High School Championships.
  • Spent many long hours practicing the hammer and discus as well as training by doing sprints.

 

Dustin

  • Gold Medal at the BCJD Pentathlon Championships
  • Competed at 11 meets
  • 3rd  in the Island RJT and 4th in the Best of 4 competitions
  • 2nd in the 100H and 3rd in the 300H at the BCJD T&F Championships
  • Very faithful at attending practices and very focused and dedicated
