Two Pen Track athletes will receive BC Athletics Junior Development Awards this fall at the JD Banquet. Ross Haskett will get his award in Throws for a javelin throw of 33.27m which exceeds the new JD Awards standard for that event. Max Szczawinski will receive his award in Sprints, Hurdles, Distance and Combined Events for attaining the JD awards standand and/or #10 on the All Time Top Ten list in 100m, 60m hurdles, Race Walk and Pentathlon. About 120 persons (athletes, parents, siblings, coaches, etc.) attended the annual Awards BBQ. The weather was beautiful and we all had our fill of corn, hot dogs, hamburgers and other goodies. Certificates, ribbons and trophies were handed out to various club members. Photos. Complete details will be posted later. 7 Peninsula Athletes competed under almost ideal conditions, winning several medals. Results and Photos

162 runners and walkers participated on a beautiful day and about 20 Pen Athletes and parents walked (and ran) in the parade. Results and Photos

Great Competition in beautiful weather with a total of 82 athletes competing. 15 Pent Track Athletes did the Pentathlon and 15 did only the Throws meet while 10 of the pentathletes also did some extra throws. RESULTS and PHOTOS

The final session of the 2007 Track Rascals program was held on Thursday, April 26. After the final session of activities, the young athletes were presented with a Track Rascals T-shirt and certificate of participation followed by cookies and juice. This year we had 39 Track Rascals in the program, which was run by Dan Daniels, Tom Dingle and Al Szczawinski.
