Dear Peninsula Track Families,

 The annual General Meeting will be held January 15, 2009 at 7:00 pm at the Greenglade Community Centre, 2151 Lannon Way, Sidney, B. C.  We will be giving reports on the last years activities and holding elections. New membership on the executive would be most appreciated and we encourage you to get involved.  Please join us for our meeting. 

We had difficulties with Grant applications last year in part because membership attendance at the annual meeting was not reflective of the number of members of the community involved with the club and a large turn out would be appreciated

 We would like to welcome everyone back to a new season.  Last year was a very successful year for our athletes and our club and we hope that this year will be as successful and enjoyable as well.

Our club is a volunteer organization and we need every family to be involved throughout the season.  We would like to thank you for your support last year at most of the events and we hope that this year we will have even more volunteers. We require your assistance at all of the meets, especially our own. All meets are run by parent volunteers and each club has a specific task for which they are responsible. At our own meet we need everyone to be involved as there are many jobs to be done during the 2 day event.

We can never have enough coaches so we welcome anyone who may be interested to step forward. The club will help to organize clinics and pay for any coaching clinics that are applicable.

As you are no doubt aware the track is on its last laps and there is a tremendous need for a community effort to refurbish it. Involvement with the club will enhance our voice in seeking financial assistance.
